The Control Freaks' first town-wide STEM fair is a success!
The Wayland High School Robotics Team hosted the first town-wide STEM fair on 10/27/2019 in the Wayland High School Commons! The free STEM fair was for students K-8 and featured hands-on exhibits, interactive demonstrations and a showcase of students’ work and achievements. Over 150 attendees enjoyed driving a robot, building catapults and examining an animal skull to name a few! Attendees were inspired as we transformed the venue into an interactive science center for the afternoon!
The Robotics Team would like to thank the enthusiastic exhibitors who helped make the day a fun success! Thank You, The Wayland Public Library, Wayland Recreation Department, The two Wayland Destination Imagination teams, The Wayland Wizards and The Wayland Wolves. The FIRST Lego League Team, “The Short Circuit Breakers,” WHS Innovation/WHIRL, Troop 1 Cochituate, Sudbury Valley Trustees, The WHS Medical Club and Women in STEM and The Coder School in Sudbury.
