Wayland school groups have teamed up with Bagel Table to create a pop-up book shop “Fresh
Baked Books of the Day” at Bagel Table at Town Center. Check out the new Prince Harry book
(which is actually surprisingly well written), the new Reese’s book club read for January 2023,
current NYT fiction and non-fiction bestsellers, kids’ books, recommended reads and inspiring
cookbooks.
A share of the pop-up profits go to a Wayland school group, who curates and stocks the shop,
and the initial partner the WHS Robotics Team 5735, who started the pop-up idea. Learn more
about the Robotics Team with fun facts posted at the pop-up about their upcoming design
competition this spring. Over time, the shop is planned to transition to new school groups with
other great causes.
A huge thank you to Bagel Table for partnering with the Robotics Team and future Wayland
school groups.
Supplies are limited so stop by early to get the best picks of the day, and stop by often to see
what’s new. NYT bestsellers update every week. Kids picture books include top sellers like Pollo
by Jimmy Fallon and Jennifer Lopez, Grumpy Monkey, Pig the Pug, Curiosity the Mars Rover, as
well as fresh new favorites every week (message us with recommendations, let us know your
favorite kids books!)
What has Wayland been reading? To date since the shop opened in December, the top sellers in
at the pop-up have been
1. Lessons in Chemistry (a great fiction read and Barnes & Noble Book of the Year),
2. The Song of the Cell: An Explanation of Medicine and the New Human
3. The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse (beautifully rendered, for kids and adults).
