The Wayland High School Robotics Team hosted the second town-wide STEM fair on 12/9/2023 in the Wayland High School Commons! The free STEM fair was for students K-8 and featured hands-on exhibits, interactive demonstrations and a showcase of students’ work and achievements. Over 150 attendees enjoyed driving a robot, solving rubik's cubes, drawing in VR, and interacting with many of the high school's own clubs! Attendees were inspired as we transformed the venue into an interactive science center for the afternoon!
We were also able to see some amazing STEM Fair projects and hand out prizes! We judged middle schoolers that had made a talking alligator with a pnuematic piston, turned nutella into power, made keys (for a keyboard) with a 3d printer, and made bioplastic out of seaweed!
The Robotics Team would like to thank the enthusiastic exhibitors who helped make the day a fun success! Thank You, WHS Genius Bar, Medical Club, Science Team, FRC 4169 Warrior Robotics, Math Team, CS Club, Green Team, Rocketry, and the middle schoolers. We would also like to thank all the volunteers that were and weren't part of the robotics team. This took a lot of time and effort to put together and it could not have been done without them!
We hope to continue this next year!

The STEM Fair will also feature a pop-up shop with plenty of STEM related merchandise such as tote bags, page flags, and notebooks! Want to order? We hope to bring this back at next year's STEM Fair!
